Special emphasis will be placed upon refinement of the product, presentation and personalization of the subject matter and final product. There will be discussions of composition, color selection, mixing paint, creative philosophy, story- telling, and brush techniques. Students are encouraged to bring their own paint and supplies, however a canvas, paint and brushes will be available.

In my paintings, I mostly focus on the cute, adorable, whimsical and goofy. My goal as an artist is to satisfy my need to create and secondly to improve the quality of life of those around me by encouraging the lighthearted.”—Mark Kochen
